Last month, I got a red-light-camera ticket in the mail.  ~ Hundred dollar fine; link to the video; send us a check; blah, blah, blah.

Well, I was on my way out of town for 2 weeks, so I sent them the “request a hearing” form instead.

So, the hearing was yesterday.  The Hearing Officer explained the process a potential ticket goes through before it’s even issued, set up the video display, and started down his list.  … and proceeded to dismiss about 30% of them – INCLUDING MINE  WooHoo! – for various defects in the video: car was too blurry, glare obscured the traffic light, etc.

I was just about to blurt out that clearly, I hadn’t “come to a complete stop” and go home, when he issued his completely-opposite-of-my-expectations ruling.

Definitely made the hour-in-court worthwhile! Thanks, Universe!
